Bat impaled on barbed wire/Loggerhead Shrike?
Daviess County, Indiana, May 2014. It was first thought that this bat was impaled on a barbed wire fence by a Loggerhead Shrike. However, upon further research IDNR believes that bats sometimes will impale themselves on barbed wire on their own during flight.
